Recommended Trailer Brake Controller for 2019 GMC Yukon XL with Tow Package

Hello,. I am looking for a good brake controller for my new 2019 GMC Yukon XL. It does have the tow package. Which one do you recommend and what would I need to install it? Thank you for your time.

For your 2019 GMC Yukon XL I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
This is an excellent proportional controller that is well known both for its reliability and ease of use. What sets this unit apart from its peers is the easy-to-read LCD display that takes code deciphering out of the equation, the storable settings that allow you to customize the controller for multiple trailers or even different driver preferences, and its 360-degree rotational range that allows you to mount it at any vertical angle in the cab. Simply put this will be the last brake controller you buy.
Since your Yukon XL is equipped with the factory tow package and a 7-Way connector the only thing you need to install the brake controller is the Plug-In Adapter # 3016. One end of the adapter will plug into the brake controller itself and the other end will connect to the built-in port behind the dash of your Yukon.
