When a trailer measures more than 80" wide, you need lights that cover every required signal and marker. This square tail light handles all seven functions—Stop, Turn, Tail, Rear Clearance, Rear Reflex, Side Marker, and Side Reflex—so you don’t have to piece together multiple lights. It meets DOT requirements and mounts to the passenger-side corner using included studs spaced 2" apart.
Wiring doesn’t need to be complicated. This light uses quick-connect terminals—just insert the stripped wire into the holes for a tight fit. It grounds right through the mounting studs, so there’s no need for a separate ground wire. A good ground keeps your lights working properly and prevents common issues like dimming or flickering when the headlights come on.
Rough roads can shake bulbs loose or cause early failure. This Optronics light uses a shockproof socket that cushions the bulbs against vibration, helping them last longer. The red lens screws securely to the durable plastic housing to protect the two replaceable incandescent bulbs inside—an 1157 for the main functions and a 168 for the side marker.
At 6-1/8" long by 4-9/16" tall and 2-7/8" thick, this light fits neatly in place of standard square trailer lights without extra drilling or adapters. It’s even a direct replacement for Uni Bond #TL4440, Wesbar #423062, and Peterson #M444, making swaps easy when old housings crack or wear out.
Running on a 12V DC system, the light draws 2.5 amps for stop/turn and 1.0 amp for tail functions—enough punch to stay visible day or night without overloading your wiring. It’s dependable lighting that keeps your trailer compliant and your signals clear every time you hit the road.

Unfortunately, I just replaced this light, so it did not make the one year mark. The base where the bulb is supposed to lock into failed and did not keep the bulb tight against the contacts.
This light was an exact match to the one that was originally on the trailer. Etrailer was a great company to deal with and I will be using them for all my trailer needs.
This right tail light fit PERFECTLY on my Diamond C 12' utility trailer. It was exactly what we broke when we backed into an obstacle and was easy to install.

Great Matches Perfect!
I replaced the broken tail lights on my fathers trailer. They should have been replaced years ago. I found these optronics lights for a very responsible price. They are identical to the original ones. Installation was quick and easy. They seem to be a good product. At this price, I will be purchasing them again when _ _ it happens.
I was pleased to find that this tail light had the push-in wire connectors, thus installation was very simple. The price, including shipping, was not greatly different than that of a big box store where the product was not the Peterson brand and required wiring connectors.

The product, ST2RB trailer taillight, works as advertised; which is good. I backed into a tree that jumped in my way while turning around on our farm. Since the trailer has to be inspected to register, I have to repair the taillight. After searching the Internet for a replacement, I found etrailer had the correct part and I was fortunate they also have great service. The product, ST2RB, trailer tail light is still going strong. Happy I worked with etrailer to replace my broken tail light. The light is on a 20’ trailer and I do not use it that much anymore but I can take it on the road if I need too!
