Question:

Kyle, the SumoSprings you referenced in the reply don’t appear to touch both and the axel or perch on the bottom of the spring and thus don’t look like they would engage until after the weight of the trailer has been added. Is this the case? If so is there a spring option that will engage in weight support almost immediately as weight is added? I’ve had air bags and helper springs and would like to try something new and different. Thx.

By 2" leveling kit, I assume you meant a 2" lift kit, is that correct? Also, do you have a F-250 or F-350 and is it 2WD or 4WD?

Yes. 2” lift in front of truck. 2014 F350 crew can long bed 4x4 diesel. I have a 50 gallon auxiliary fuel tank and toolbox combo in the bed with a b & w turn over gooseneck hitch and companion fifthweel. I also have a custom 300lb headache rack with full length attached bed rail caps/ raised gurards. Basically my daily “empty weight” is about 6- 800 pounds heavier than a stock empty truck.

With your front tires making more contact with the road your steering and braking will improve because of the increased traction. The best option for you for something that will engage are the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA22 because they will immediately engage in supporting your F-350 when it is under load and deactivates when they are not. The SuperSprings can also be customized to fit how you want with three different settings. There is a setting for constant heavy loads to increase support and ride height, a lower setting that will keep your original factory ride with less effect and a middle option which is a mix of the two. The SuperSprings Stabilizer Kit # SSA22 will prevent the sagging you were talking about as well as control sway, are easy to install above your overload springs, do not require maintenance and are made in the USA.
