Can the Wiring Harness for a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas be Mounted Outside the Vehicle

Im looking at installing this wiring kit T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # 118754 on my 2018 Volkswagen atlas. My question is, is there a way I can have the wire run to the underside of the vehicle instead of closing the lift gate on it?

Yes, you can mount the 4-way trailer connector of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118754 for your 2018 Volkswagen Atlas outside of the vehicle but in order to do this you would need to find an access hole. Once you do find the access hole you can then use both part # 18140 and part # 18144 to secure it to the trailer hitch.

Unfortunately, I do not have any write-ups for this process as that is not how the manufacturer tests the wiring harness.
