I currently have a naked top with no factory rack at all. I would like to carry 2 kayaks. I have the a Thule Compass for kayaks.

For a great roof rack that is compatible with the Thule Compass # TH890000 on your 2012 Toyota Tacoma double cab with a bare roof, I recommend the following setup:

- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420

- Fit Kit for Evo Clamp Feet # TH145107
- Thule One-Key Locks # TH450400

With this setup, you receive the benefits of an extremely aerodynamic roof rack that ultimately leads to a quieter ride and increased fuel economy. Also, the Compass mounts to the bars with ease. If you need a step to help you load your kayaks, I strongly recommend the Rightline Moki Door Step # RL100660 to make your life easier.

Even though this roof rack provides you truck with 150 pounds of total weight capacity, it is always a good idea to consult with your Toyota owner's manual to make sure you take into account all manufacturer guidelines.

i have a toyota tacome 2012 access cab. Is the access cab the same thing as a double? I like the curved appearance that blends in and makes the rack appear as those it follows the contour of the vehicle as a opposed to the type where the bar sticks out over the edge of the vehicle. Question: Is the Rola Sport Series Roof Rack with GTX Mounting System for Naked Roofs Item # 59752 the only one that fits the style described as the curved appearance that blends in and makes the rack appear as those it follows the contour of the vehicle as a opposed to the type where the bar sticks out over the edge? Your Access Cab model Tacoma is different than the Double Cab, but the Rola is still a good fit. We have one other setup for your truck that shares this style with the Rhino-Rack # RR92GR.

@ChrisR Yes I noticed the Rhino product RR92GR. One of my frustrations with the webpage for that item is that all the reviews seem to be for an unrelated product- Vortex Aero in Roof Rack. Are there reviews for the RR92GR? How do I see them? Thanks

@MarkW The reason for the "related" reviews on the # RR92GR page is that Rhino-Rack just recently replaced the older version of this rack with the current system that you see - so there just aren't many customer reviews yet of the new/current setup. The Vortex reviews you see were for the older version, which is essentially the same with some minor cosmetic changes.
