Lug Nut Torque Recommendation for Dexter Hub # 8-219-4UC3-EZ to 17.5 inch Wheel
Published 10/24/2018 >
Question:
Hi guys, My trailer is equipped with the dexter 8-219-4uc3 Drums identical to the ones sold by etrailer which should accommodate a 17.5 inch wheel. I ordered and received my new lynx wheels from etrailer which I installed upon arrival. They fit and look great ! My problem is that I cannot find anywhere , as to what I should torque the lug nuts at, for that particular wheel,to the 1/2 inch studs on my drum. I mounted them using 1/2 x20 closed chrome studs. I torqued them to 95 ft. lbs for now which I can increase if need be. Please advise, Thank you,

Helpful Expert Reply:
95 ft lbs would be good for torquing the lug nuts of the trailer hub part # 8-219-4UC3-EZ to a 17.5 inch diameter trailer wheel. The acceptable range would be 90 to 120 ft lbs for your setup.
