Is Lippert Ground Control 2.0 System Compatible with 3.0 Motor and Leg?

Updated 10/25/2018 | Published 10/24/2018

Question:

hello, i recently found that my 2 yr old 5th has the 2.0 ground control instead of the 3.0 I had a forward leg gear failure and ordered the 2.0 leg. would a 3.0 leg work, as it is just a leg and motor, i would thing that it would still get the levelinginch signal from the head control and act accordingly. Hate to buy a whole new system because Lipert is no long building parts for my 2yr old obsolete system! Thanks in advance

The Lippert 2.0 system is not compatible with the motors on the 3.0 system. The 3.0 system uses electric motors that utilize the hall effect where the 2.0 system does not. This is a completely different design which makes the motor and legs incompatible with the controller and wiring of the 2.0 system.

You will need to upgrade your system if you desire that style as your system has been replaced. For the 2.0 system we have the Replacement Heavy-Duty Landing Gear Jack Leg for Ground Control 2.0 - Short # LC241844 and Replacement Heavy-Duty Landing Gear Jack Leg - Extended # LC241845.

To upgrade your system we have the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w Touchpad and Remote - 4-Point Set # LC358590 or 6 point set # LC675817. A complete system is required for the upgrade.
