Question:
I was wondering what the torque specs are for this bearing as I am trying to have it where the bearing wont go bad within a few uses. If there is any way you guys could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this and or respond.

The castle nuts do not have a torque spec. Bearings and races are fit to the spindle precisely and will have minimal movement to the washer and castle nut which will simply be tightened and held in place with the cotter pin # 165649. We recommend tightening until the nut stops without added force and then backing it off one notch to fit the castle nut.
The Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 4 on 4 - L44649 Bearings # 8-91-05UC1 is a fit for 1.063 inch spindles and when the grease is packed into the bearings correctly will prevent the bearings from failure. I recommend using the Bearing Packer - Plastic # PTW1218 to ensure proper preparation use grease.
