Question:

The description lists compatibility with the sedan and diesel versions of the Cruze but is it compatible with the hatchback version?

The Draw-Tite # 24943 is not a fit for the hatchback models. The hitch you will want is the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # 24951 which is compatible with the hatchback version of Chevy Cruze. I've attached a photo to assist. If you will be using this hitch for a bike rack or other accessory, there is nothing further you need. I've linked the page to the most popular bike racks and cargo carriers to help.

If you will be using the hitch for light towing, I also recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118734 which is a custom fit to the factory wiring. Then I recommend the ball mount # 3594 along with hitch ball # 19258 or # 19256.
