Tow bars don't last forever unfortunately. If yours has had 20 years of constant use it would be time to replace the whole thing. Roadmaster typically recommends their tow bars get replaced at 8-10 years and a max of 80k miles.
The Roadmaster Falcon 2 part # RM-520 would be a great choice for a new tow bar that will be very easy to use. It's essentially the new and updated version of your current Falcon.
