Hello,

When you say doing a fleet of vehicles with the fifth wheel prep package are you referring to simply adding fifth wheel hitches to these trucks that have the prep package? If so I would only need to know the bed size (in order to know if you need sliding hitches or not) and what capacity (16K, 20K, 24K) you are looking for.

Thanks for that info and we can set you up with everything you need; the only thing to keep in mind is that on the trucks that do NOT have the fifth wheel prep kit you will need to trim away the bed liner in order to install the rails (assuming it is the plastic drop-in liner). The rails do need to have metal-to-metal contact because the bed liner would eventually start to disintegrate under the weight of the hitch and rails. I recommend going with the same hitch in all of your trucks and a great option with a 16,000 lb capacity is the Curt A16 because it has a particularly nice combination of quality and ease-of-use. The quality comes from its 2-jaw system for total contact with a fifth wheel trailer's king pin. This is important because unlike some fifth wheels that have a single jaw and slide bar it ensures the amount of noise is minimized and helps to stabilize the hitch when towing. The A16 also has a head unit which is fully articulating, meaning it can pivot in a 360 degree manner instead of just side-to-side or front-to-back which is also part of what helps reduce the amount of noise the hitch makes. In terms or ease-of-use, the A16's 3-point indicator system signals if the hitch is ready to couple (yell0w), tow (green), or uncouple (red). The articulating head is another aspect that makes it easy to use because coupling is made simpler due to the fact the head can move in any direction. Since the Ford F-250 and F-350's you referenced have different bed lengths, and some need frame brackets and rails installed there are a number of different part numbers you will need, which I'll detail for you. - 2018 F-250 with 6-3/4 foot bed: Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider # C16521 and B&W Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit for Ford # BWRVK2402. - 2018 Ford F-250 with 6-3/4 foot bed and fifth wheel prep package: # C16520-16020 - 2018 Ford F-250 AND F-350 with 8 foot bed: Curt A16 # C16120 and Installation Kit # BWRVK2402 - 2018 Ford F-250 AND 2018/2019 Ford F-350 with 8 foot bed and fifth wheel prep package: # C16520-16017
