Legs mount to Ford OEM underbed platform.Good thing that etrailer.com put the Curt A16 box in a larger box for shipping. The outer box took a beating, but the inner box was barely harmed. Curt should have put padding between the two Ford OIM legs, they scratched each other a bit. The unit installed as per directions, and it looks great. Can't wait for our custom ordered RV to arrive. Thanks to etrailer.com for excellent review videos, and reading the FAQs helped me make my final decision as to which hitch to go with.
I've had this hitch for a year now and used it 5 times so far to pull my 38' RV. Works great and easy to get in and out of my truck bed.
Installation Instructions and Hardware provided -vs- exploded Views do not agree. 14mm Bolts and Nuts with Nylon Inserts we’re only provided NO Flat or Lock Washers were provided as shown in the exploded views.
easy to assemble and install. A bit confusing since it came lock nuts and not flat washer lock nut.
Always very pleased with etrailer sales and service. Ordered on a Monday and had the hitch on Thursday. As for the hitch, Super easy setup with my Ford puck system. Had it installed, setup and hitched up in about 45 minutes. The format is perfect as I can now pop it out of my bed easily between trips. It's small so I still have a lot of room in the bed when towing. Very pleased.

Great. Still very happy with it. Very easy to remove from the truck bed when I need to. Can handle it by myself.
Very well-built hitch. I ordered the A16 with legs to fit the Ford OEM puck system. Came with a hardware pack that was missing flat washers and lock washers. Despite what etrailer will say, you WILL need flat washers and lock washers to connect the legs to the mid-section of the hitch. The bolts thread directly into the legs and the supplied lock nuts are completely useless. Do yourself a favor and run over to the hardware store to pick up flat washers and lock washers before you attempt to assemble. Would have given 5 stars if the hardware was correct...
Great 5th wheel hitch easy to install with the Ford puck system...Double jaws work great and very quiet and hooks up solid no chucking.

Curt makes a great quality hitch doesnt chuck much d ok es a good job easy to install OEM Legs.
5th wheel hitch arrived intact (no damage).
Arrived in 2 days, I'm impressed.
Great job as usual, can always depend on etrailer.

Great basic 5th wheel hitch, works great. The 2 part system makes installing and removing the hitch very manageable for an old dude. It is holding up well.
We've put 3000 miles and about ten trips so far in the first year, and this hitch has performed perfectly. I am very satisfied! I highly recommend !

"BEWARE"I read many reviews on this hitch, all but one were very good. The one negative review stated that his problem with a noisy hitch was quickly resolved with a replacement. My experience has not been good, I too had a noisy hitch, contacted Etrailer and they sent a replacement. Second hitch was just as noisy. Contacted Curt directly and am told this slop in hitch is by design! Their fix is to disconnect the factory brake controls and install theirs. Why was I not informed before purchase that this hitch bangs around unless you purchase an aftermarket control. It is very unnerving to know that your king pin is extremely loose within the hitch, banging back and forth on acceleration and stopping.
I really like the hitch especially the position gage makes it a no brainer when hooking up.
I do wonder if I should have got the slider to make backing up easier with the hitch point closer to the rear of the truck making it more like backing up a trailer?
This year we will have a lot more backing up and I will see if I feel the same way about it.
I use a chain fall to put it in and out with ease.
So far the hitch works great. I like the fact Of the color code when its hitched.

Highly satisfied with my purchase from etrailer.com. Excellent performing hitch. Easy to remove from the Ford factory installed mount and far less expensive than the one Ford sells.
Haven't used the hitch yet, but after assembly and installation, it appears solid and well made. The custom leg assembly (for Ford factory hitch prep) and the hitch proper come with separate instructions, which causes some confusion. The legs are attached to the hitch using four 19mm bolts with nuts (provided). The instructions call for lock washers and flat washers for all four bolts (shown in parts list) which were NOT provided in the pack-up. A trip to the hardware store to get the critical missing parts was required. Bottom line for manufacturer: Include all the specified hardware with the product!
Very seldom do you have a company that works with their customer the way etrailer does, I contacted them to make sure that i would order the correct 5th wheel hitch for my 2011 ford 250 supper duty. They helped me through the process based on the information I gave them and ordered product. I purchased my truck used and it had a slide in bed liner, i removed the liner to prep for installing the hitch only to discover my vehicle has a factory installed hitch rail in it. I contacted etrailer some 5 hours after my order to change the type of hitch that would fit and was very surprised by how understanding they were.
I recieved my hitch a day and a half later by ups and am very pleased with the timely manner in which this purchase was handed.

Just received the hitch the other day. Delivery was quick. Starting to put it together, I agree with some other reviews that the instructions could be a little clearer, but I will make it. Other than that, it will be a bit before our truck comes in and we can install the hitch.

Still working great after a year. I transport rvs for a living and am very happy with this purchase.
The Curt A16 arrived a little bruised but intact. I was missing washers, but again, not a big deal. The hitch was easy to assemble by myself, taking a leisurely 45 minutes. It seems well constructed so all in all I’ll give it 4 stars.
Lisa D at etrailer however gets 5 stars for guiding me through the purchase experience!
I received the order quickly and was easy to put together and install. I really enjoy dealing w/etrailer, I have never been disappointed with anything I have purchased from them

great fits factory mounts perfect
It fits the 4 pucks on my f450. It is easy on and off. If you have bobcat its a snap.
