I have a Ford F-250 2017 with the factory installed puck system how do I know that the pucks are secure and in properly

For your Curt A16 Ford Fifth Wheel hitch # C16520-16017 if you have the feet of the hitch inserted all the way into the pucks and they are all the way turned in the hitch is totally secured to your truck.
From looking at the picture of your hitch the side that is visible looks totally secured.
