Question:
How do I tell if my 2017 Honda Pilot has towing package

It sounds like you are looking for a trailer wiring harness for your 2017 Honda Pilot. The easiest and most accurate way to determine whether or not your vehicle has the factory tow package is to simply visit your local Honda dealer and have them run your VIN.
With that being said, the factory port beneath the driver side trim panel that is used to plug in a trailer wiring harness on your Pilot will be present regardless of whether or not you have the tow package. All of the trailer wiring harnesses we have available also include the needed fuses to activate the tow package if the vehicle is not equipped with one. So essentially it doesn't really matter if you have the tow package or not when it comes to choosing a compatible harness.
If you are needing a 7-Way connector I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118286 or for a 4-Way you can use the Tekonsha # 118760. Both harnesses will plug right into that factory port and include the mentioned fuses if needed on your Pilot.
