Where Does Ground Strap Wire Attach When Installing Hitch on 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

On our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica limited it has a wire that is on the aft left hand side of the undercarriage on the vehicle. My question is does the hitch go above it or am I supposed to disconnect it and reconnect it once the hitch is on.

That's a ground strap that you have circled in your picture. You can basically run that to any metal bolt that touches the metal frame and you'd be fine, but if you were to use it on the same bolt it would have to go over the hitch flange and under the nut.

@Chris No I do not. It's probably a generic chassis ground that helps most of the electronics of the vehicle and not just any circuit individually. My car for example has several chassis grounds that have a tendency to get dirty over time and when they do strange error codes will start popping up.
