Question:
Hi, I just purchased a used 2014 nissan frontier SL with the factory tow package. It has a Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring C55441 harness at the bumper area. The trailer lights dont work. No power at the factory wire harness where the Curt adapter plugs into. The 10 amp fuse is good thats under the front hood. The 30 amp fusible link thats in the same box as the 10 amp fuse is good, also under the front hood. Any suggestions on how to get the light to work? Another way of hooking up the trailer lights? Where would that relay get plugged into? Thanks,

If you are not getting any power at the factory port where the Curt Wiring Harness # C55441 plugs into, this actually may indicate that your 2014 Nissan Frontier is not equipped with the factory tow package. The existing Curt harness will still plug into the factory port like you see on your vehicle, but without the tow package you will still need to add a relay harness for the port to become active.
This relay harness is included with the Curt T-Connector # C56225. It is not available separately outside of this kit. To install the relay harness you will need to remove the passenger side kick panel to access the factory 12-pin wiring connector that it will plug into. I have attached an image and an installation video to assist.
