This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you solid strength for small campers, boats, and utility trailers. Rated for 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 500 lbs tongue weight, it handles light to moderate towing with ease. Use a weight distribution setup and the capacity jumps to 8,000 lbs GTW and 800 lbs TW. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening, you can also attach bike racks, cargo baskets, or other hitch-mounted accessories without needing adapters.
The square-tube steel construction is precision welded by robots for maximum strength and fit. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat shields against corrosion and road grime for long-term durability. Whether it’s exposed to rain or road salt, the coating helps keep it looking clean and sharp while resisting rust that can weaken other hitches over time.
Installing this hitch is straightforward—just bolt it onto the frame using the included hardware kit. There’s no welding needed, so most folks can handle the install at home with basic tools. The design uses existing mounting points for an exact fit and clean alignment, eliminating the hassle of modifying your vehicle. Once it’s in place, you’re ready to attach a ball mount or accessory and get moving.

The box came in really beaten up by ups but the hitch was fine. Thankfully my friend came by and helped lift it into place and it looks great. The fit is perfect and the hitch is very well made.

The hitch arrived so bent that the powder coat is cracked and falling off! I read the reviews abouting people using etrailer.com and their hitches bent arriving bent and i should have listened to my gut and purchased somewhere else.
Hilariously easy to install on my 2018 Frontier Pro-4x. I was even surprised at how easy the socket alignment was to get the torque wrench in there for final adjustment. Maybe 10 minutes total?

For the price you can't beat it. The only negitives are:
1) the washers that are included are just a bit to
small in center diameter. The bolts must be
screwed in before instalation.
2) one of the brackets was bent about 5
degrees inward, which made it impossible to
start the bolts. I ended up having to use c
clamps to pull it to the frame to start the
bolts.
You will need an assistant for sure, my 12 y/o was enough to assist me to start the bolts as I held the receiver in place. Perfect match. The receiver did have a few chips off of its paint from shipping but overall was happy with it
Perfect fit!
I really like this receiver, it tucks up nice and high, and out of the way, and seems pretty stout. I have a 2011 4wd Frontier, so I like the ground clearance. You just get the right height hitch for whatever you’re towing.
I like my trailer and truck height even, I’m kind of Type ‘A’ about that stuff! I can’t stand a saggy trailer or Truck
One side was bent in making it so I had to use a C-clamp and clamp the drivers side to the frame of the Nissan Frontier and draw it over into place. Once there, I had to also ream the last remaining bolt hole because the bracket was too far forward.
I have read other people have had this problem and etrailer has claimed the metal can spring back during shipping.
I have two things to say on this.
One, metal does not randomly spring out of place. The bracket had to be either not tacked in 4 places before it was welded, which makes the welding process draw that side piece over, or the fit and cut was done improperly.
Two, if they now this happens, then they should put a little slop in some of the holes , so we can work it around.
Other than that, it is a hitch, what more can I say?
Smooth as butter install ; I was relieved that UPS (of course they damaged the box; had holes & electrical harness/ trailer hitch hardware by some Great Devine intervention did not get lost) Also Curt hitch was not bent or damaged…..All said and done it was a FIVE star transaction….just an opinion but my experience with UPS is they are rougher than FEDEX ground handling items delivered
Fairly quick shipping for a new model year vehicle. 15 minutes to install and looks great, and we'll made. Would highly recommend etrailer.
Easy to install, instructions were clear and parts fit correctly. First time use it worked well.

Great! I use the hitch every day, and it does its job.
Hitch (Part 13241) and electrics (Part 118266) arrived on time, 40 minutes later everything was installed and connected. Had to ream out the washers to fit the bolts and drill new holes in the Mounting Box (Part 18157) to fit the 7-Way connector ... overall good value.

It's quality built. Thank you. I haven't yet had to use it. But my oem receiver was worse for wear. I'm relieved to having this one and installation was a breeze.

After 1 year of use and I towed a lot when we moved to a different state last year. It has been rock solid. I retorqued the bolts once that’s it.
