Question:
I am looking for sturdy and quiet crossbars for our 2009 Honda CRV with fixed mounting points. I want to be able to get add-ons to carry a canoe/kayak and bike. What do you think is the best option? Thank you!

For your 2009 Honda CR-V, I recommend taking a look at the Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack # RRRVP15. This system will attach to the fixed mounting points on your CR-V and will provide a really sleek, OEM look with its flush design. The crossbars themselves feature a low-profile, aerodynamic shape that will be extremely quiet during travel but are plenty sturdy enough to have a 165 pound weight capacity.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this system that you can check out as well.
With the roof rack in place, you are free to choose from a wide variety of accessories like bike and kayak carriers. I have attached a couple of links that will take you to our available selection for both types that you can look through. The Thule UpRide # TH599000 is a great option for securing 1 bike of up to 44 pounds on the roof and I really like the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S510 for safely loading a kayak of up to 99 pounds.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these products that you can also check out.
