Can the Yakima Backswing be Used with Other Hitch Adapters

Question:
Im confused about why the Yakima Backswing doesnt work with 1.25in accessories with 2 inch adapters. Is it just because theyre worried about the strength of the accessories? How could it differentiate fit wise between a native solid 2 inch slide in and a 1.25 in slide in with a 2inch adapter over top of it. Thanks!

The Yakima BackSwing, part # Y02483, is essentially an adapter that gives a hitch mounted accessory the swinging feature. If you are to use a 1-1/4 to 2 inch expander, like part # 80303 which is also and adapter, you would be using two adapters which is never recommended.
