Dimensions of Trailer Hitch Receiver for 1999 Dodge Caravan
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Can you please give me the center to center measurement between the left to right mounting holes? I also need to know how much the top of the receiver tube is below the frame mounting surface. Finally, the distance from the rearmost portion of the frame mounts to the rearmost part of the receiver tube. Thank you in advance.

I went out to the warehouse and took the measurements on the Draw-Tite Class II, part # 36296. The mounting holes are 37-1/4 inches center on center for both set of holes. From the top of the brackets where it mounts to the frame to the top of the receiver tube is 3-3/8 inches. I'm not sure which direction of the hitch you're calling the rearmost, so I took two measurements. From the edge of the brackets towards the front of the vehicle to the closest point of the receiver tube is 10-5/8 inches. From the edge of the brackets towards the rear of the vehicle to the very end of the receiver tube is 10-1/4 inches.
Since you asked about a Class II and a lot of times people are interested in Class III hitches when they're available I also went ahead and took the same measurements on the Curt Class III that we carry, part # C13362. The two sets of mounting holes towards the rear of the vehicle are the same 37-1/4 inches but this hitch has a third set at 37-1/8 inches. From the top of the brackets to the top of the tube is 4-15/16 inches. Then for the final two measurements; towards the front of the vehicle is 18 inches and towards the rear of the vehicle is 12 inches.
I've made some diagrams to show the dimensions as well.
