This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant. It was the easiest trailer hit we ever installed. The hitch aligned perfectly with the established bolts and vehicle hardware. The installation video that on line streamlined the installation process,
Product arrived as promised. I waited a few days to gather tools I needed (namely metric impact sockets) and warmer weather. Installed the hitch last evening. It took about an hour. Most of this time was jacking up, placing jack stands and removing THREE exhaust hanger bolts. I had to remove one about midway before the exhaust would lower enough for me to get to the chassis bolts on the passenger side. Your install video shows a hitch with three passenger side bolts but the actual hitch only has two. Apparently a later version which is exactly what I needed. Actual placement and bolting of hitch and bolting back the exhaust hangers only took about 15 minutes. I am extremely pleased with the neatness and appearance. You see nothing but the receiver box. No ugly cross bars like some hitches show. Thanks for a great product.
first id like to say thank you to the people of etrailer.com for shipping out my hitch in more than a timely manner. we got the curt 2" hitch for our 2016 dodge caravan. we are using it for a bike rack only and this seems to do the job just fine. I installed it by myself in about 30 minutes. the instructions were pretty simple and easy to follow. if you are looking to get a hitch for your mini van id definitely recommend using etrailer.com.
Hello,
I heard of etrailer through a friend and decided to give it a go. I have not ordered anything from etrailer before, and this being my first time, I thought i would provide some feedback.
Your website was helpful and easy to navigate. For this particular order I decided to call and speak with someone to talk about the 3 options I had for my mini-van, he was very helpful.
I placed the order over the phone and paid extra to have it shipped within a couple days. The order was placed Thursday morning and with an estimated arrive date and time of Saturday, July 17th by 7:PM. I kept with the online tracking though the weekend and into Monday. Finally the UPS tracking updated the website and said it would be delivered Tuesday 20th.
When I received the package, the box was in somewhat rough shape. I figured that it's a metal hitch and that it rough delivery, so I unboxed the hitch to get ready for install. While under the mini-van, my buddy and I lifted the hitch up in place and discovered that the holes are not lining up. We set the hitch down for a closer look and realized that the one side of the hitch is bent. I'm leaving for a trip and needed to have this hitch on before I go, So what we ended up doing was to slowly bend hitch back soa that it lined up with mounting hole.
This was the first time I ever installed a hitch, it was real easy to install and I happy with the finish product. I hoping that there is no long term damage to the hitch from when it was bent in the shipping process and then gently bending it back.
I gave an average rating because etrailer was helpful, but the product delivery could have been more timely and in better condition.
Fit perfectly on my Town & Country mini-van. It is mounted up under the rear of the vehicle so it is not seen from the rear. Only visible part is the 2X2 receiver box. The instructions could have shown the two bolt sizes and locations. This would help in getting ready to install.
Bought Curt Trailer Hitch for my 2019 Grand Caravan.
It fitted as instructed in YouTube video sent in email.
Installed 3 bike hitch carrier on it and drove around with 2 bikes on it.
I will revisit again after 6 months to mention how the Trailer Hitch is holding up.
So far it’s awesome
etrailer has always been top notch and professional. Always a easy and hassle free when dealing with this company unlike so many others.
The trailer hitch we received is bent and the holes don't line up. Thankfully etrailer has promised to mail out a new one ASAP. I hope the new one works as it should.
Great price and prompt shipping! Exactly what I ordered and fit like it said. Only wish I got an etrailer sticker!
I give this 4-1/2 stars.
This Curt hitch product is superb. 1/4" steel plate throughout, every contact point between two pieces of metal joined with BIG perfectly executed weld beads, indestructible powder coat finish, fit to my vehicle was perfect.
I was less impressed by Curt's & E-trailer's packing job. The instructions were wrapped around the receiver with fiberglass reinforced tape, which I thought was there just to protect the receiver. I couldn't see the piece of paper inside, so chopped up the instructions when cutting the tape off. Regular packing tape would suffice, so why not use it? Then people can see the instructions to avoid cutting them. Meanwhile the 50-lb welded hitch assembly was not adequately secured inside the shipping carton, a corner of which ruptured so that one mounting flange came out during transit and got marred. I don't care, but e-trailer should know so they pack better.
Installation went well, with the caveat that e-trailer's guidance for time and tools required is "misleading" at best. There is no mention of drive extensions in Curt's instructions, but a 10" extension for 3/8" or 1/2" drive is crucial, also an impact-duty flex adapter for same and a 24" breaker bar for busting loose the factory frame rail bolts. I would have been lost without that last. This is a big job that requires he-man tools.
Curt's instructions and Etrailer's installation video provided everything I needed to know. There's a priceless tip in the video: when installing the hitch, first rest the passenger side mounting flange on top of the exhaust resonator and secure it there with a ratcheting cargo strap, then lift the driver side home, secure it in place with the center bolt (loosely tightened), then release the passenger side flange and secure it the same way. When installing as I did, with the vehicle on ramps, this tip is pure gold.
Installed clearance between the hitch and exhaust resonator is poor (rattles & clunks expected) and I expect to drop the exhaust with longer exhaust hangers.
This is my first time dealing with E-trailer and my mind has been blown by their incredible efficiency and the thoroughness of the website. Amazon aside, it's the most impressive e-commerce experience I've ever had. I wish I had money to invest in them, and anybody reading this who does should do so.
Trailer hitch arrived undamaged and went on in about I hour or less. Fits great and does not show much at all. It will mostly be used for bike rack so it's a little overkill for my needs ,but if I have to tow a trailer it will easily do the job.
Works like a champ. I love how its kinda hidden by the bumper so it doesn't stick out! Only took about 15 mins to install and that was by myself. Just backed the van up some car ramps and had plenty of clearance to install. It takes longer to loosen the muffler than it does to install! Just follow the instructions and the videos and you'll be fine installing this by yourself.
Overall very satisfied. Needs to be sent in a better box. It was coming out of box when I got it. Also if the box had some kind of handles. Was heavy and awkward for one person to pick up while still in the box.
Hitch fits great. Videos made installation easy.
I only wish etrailer.com would protect the receiver with some styrofoam for shipping. Mine was a little scratched up right out of the box, which is a bummer because that is the only part visible once installed on my vehicle!
The hitch fit my Chrysler 2009 Town and Country perfectly. The instructional videos gave me significant confidence that I was buying the correct hitch. Installation was easy, except for removing the bolts which were already in place on my vehicle. The hitch has worked well supporting my bike rack.
Instruction was too clear for me because I expected nuts, bolt, washers to be included in the box. I called customer service and I was told I don't need those they are already available in your van. I was deified. My bad. Other than that everything went smoothly. I successfully completed the installation.
The box was torn but the product was safe.
Easy and simple mounting, this vehicle specific receiver utilized the existing fasteners already attached to my van. The most difficult, time consuming part was unbolting the exhaust and moving aside to mount to the passenger side frame rail. Total time to install was maybe 30-minutes once van was setup and tools laid out.
Overall, the product is very good. Had to do a little pushing and prying to line-up the mounting holes, but nothing to get excited about. I probably should have bought the wiring harness for my vehicle. Would have made the job quicker and easier.
The hitch fit just fine and looks good, tight up to the bumper. The installation instructions were helpful with the exhaust system and the AC lines. Putting it on was a bit of a chore on a vehicle that has seen ten years of Michigan winter salt and located four miles from paved roads. I twisted off an internal welded nut and had to improvise. A friend suggested I could have used an air driven wrench, cycling back an forth to sort of wear the threads out to get the bolt out. The bolt would turn but the further out it came, the higher the torque to turn until the welded nut broke loose. I bored an access hole in the box frame, retrieved the cut off bolt and nut, and inserted a heavy threaded backup plate. I just notice below, helps for installation that might have helped me, anyway the installation went very well except for the broken nut.
I am a sales Rep in the cycling and outdoor industry and carry bikes and trailers regularly. Bike carriers have increasingly moved from the roof to the hitch mount option over the years and so most of my rack sales need a hitch.
The hitch was surprisingly easy to install and i was able to do it within an hour or so without lifts. It was a little tight getting under the vehicle and turning tools was cumbersome. That said, still easy enough.
I have had no problem with access or clearance with the bumper and have been quite pleased with the hitch. My last trip we visited Big Bend State Park and the road to the HQ is 27 miles of dirt road with an INNO bike rack carrying a fat bike on the rack. I had several bikes on the hitch and never had an issue. I'm around 30k for the past year with something hanging off the back of the car, issue free! Thanks!

Super easy to install, key tools to have were impact driver and 13, 15 18 mm sockets and torque wrench. Looks great! Also as a quick note, for those looking, instructions and torque specs, they were in a bag in the receiver, my son found them, they were shoved in there a way. Also helpful hints for the do it your selfer include backing up the van up wood ramps and then setting the hitch on (2) 5 gallon buckets to hold the hitch up while you are screwing it into the frame. The holes for the hitch matched up great to the van!
Installed just like the video. My Son, Ben was visiting & he learned about torque wrenches.

This isn't the first aftermarket hitch I've purchased and the first thing that struck me was its heft and rugged construction. I thought "...no way was this thing going to fail or degrade in my lifetime."
I read technical manuals daily and the simplicity and detail of the single-sheet instructions were without error. (a rarity these days).
Besides the obvious top quality of product, what I appreciated the most was the quick and courteous service:
1) purchased online; but verified with a phone call that order was received, in stock, and ETA of shipment - the 1st phone call and person who answered had all my questions answered competently (another rarity).
2) the phone operator was intelligent, was without a heavy accent - easy to communicate with.
3) shipment was tracked and status sent to me via email; follow-up email was sent to me inviting me to place a review.
4) This company is WONDERFUL to deal with; wish I needed more hitches!!
This is my second time using Etrailer.com for hitching/towing needs and thusly, this is my second hassle-free, perfect, great experience with them.
I was in a pinch and needed a Curt 13364 hitch for a trip to OK that came up quickly. Every other supplier I could find could not give me any kind of shipping time or schedule. I called Etrailer and spoke to Katie D. who took the time and was very courteous and professional with my request. She was able, on a Friday afternoon, to work with me for a proper solution to have the correct hitch shipped to me in DEEP southwest Texas in time for installation before leaving the following Thursday.
Katie D., once the product shipped, kept me updated via email with a tracking schedule that helped me to ensure I would receive it well in time and in good shape, and it did arrive just fine.
Regarding the installation on my 2014 Grand Caravan, pardon the pun but it was installed without a hitch. Taking about 20 minutes to install it went up perfectly with no drilling or cutting of the vehicle body. Utilizing existing bolts in the vehicle, all the holes lined up perfectly.
I cannot say enough good things about etrailer.com and Katie D., they were instrumental in providing what I needed in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them highly!!!!!
Perfect fit and easy installation!
