Features to know about

Get More Out of Your Vehicle: Class III Strength with 2" Receiver

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class III - 2" gives you the versatility to tow and haul with confidence. With a 4,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight (GTW) and 400-lb tongue weight (TW), or up to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW when used with weight distribution, it’s built for everyday towing and cargo use. The 2" x 2" receiver opening fits standard ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers so you can easily switch between towing a small trailer, hauling a camper, or carrying bikes and gear.

Built to Last: Fully Welded Steel with Gloss Black Powder Coat

This hitch is made from powder coated steel for long-term strength and corrosion resistance. The gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to help resist rust from road grime and weather exposure. Its sturdy square-tube design gives it a clean look while holding up under load. Whether you’re hauling a trailer or using a hitch accessory, the heavy-duty construction is designed for dependable performance.

Simple Bolt-On Installation: No Welding or Drilling Required

The hitch installs directly to the vehicle frame using existing hardware—no drilling or welding needed. Precision, robotic welding ensures proper alignment with factory mounting points for a straightforward fit. Most DIY installers can tackle the job in a driveway using basic hand tools. A minor fascia trim may be required on some applications to clear the receiver, but the concealed cross tube keeps the finished look tidy under the bumper.

Ready for Everyday Use: Designed for Towing and Hauling

This hitch is built for versatile use—great for light to moderate trailer towing, cargo carriers, or bike racks. It’s rated as a Class III with weight distribution capability up to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW, giving you flexibility for different setups. The receiver’s flush fit helps maintain ground clearance and an uncluttered rear profile while still delivering solid performance every time you hook up your gear.

Only five bolts but one was behind the muffler and hard to get at.

by:

Works like a champ. I love how its kinda hidden by the bumper so it doesn't stick out! Only took about 15 mins to install and that was by myself. Just backed the van up some car ramps and had plenty of clearance to install. It takes longer to loosen the muffler than it does to install! Just follow the instructions and the videos and you'll be fine installing this by yourself.

by:

Fit great, Install was pretty quick, mounting hardware is already on the van from the factory, when you pull the big bolts out, the plate in the frame is spring loaded and will disappear.
Put the smaller bolts by the bumper in first and snug them but don't tighten them to pull the plate down to get the big bolts threaded in, then tighten them all down.
I didn't trim my bumper like it suggested and it looks fine!

I recently ordered a Curt Class 3 trailer receiver through ETRAILER for my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. I purchased it because in the near future I will be purchasing a bike carrier. I received it within a week. It came packed with good clear directions. The only problem I had was trying to install it by myself. After some brainstorming I was able to rig up a solution on my floor jack and it went right up and in with no problem. I will be ordering more from ETRAILER.

by:

the install was easy, though I did have to take off muffler clamp on passenger side . the install looks not like your every day after market bumper It is low profile you can hardly see hitch. very nice looking thank you . a 1 hour install.

by:

I have not had a chance to pull a trailer with it yet, but the install was easy.

I installed this hitch receiver along with the trailer wiring harness (P/N 118490) and 4 pole mounting brackets (P/N 18140 & 18144) on my 2011 VW Routan. The total job start to finish took less than an hour and half (that is for the receiver and the wiring). I did the install completely by myself using only basic tools. The receiver was a little awkward to get into place by myself, but it was relatively easily accomplished using a floor jack to support the non exhaust side. The receiver hitch and wiring have a great factory installed look, and will be perfect for pulling my small utility trailer.

All and all, these seem like good products at a very reasonable price!

2017 Grand Caravan with Sto-Go, with vehicle on car ramps removed first to bolts for the exhaust and just loosened the third one. Removed frame bolts and used a jack to hold it in place, fits like a glove. It did take my son and I about 2 hours to install hitch and the wiring in the driveway. Highly recommend the hitch....

by:

Installed the hitch to our 2014 Grand Caravan SXT in less than 45 min start to finish. Followed the video instructions and did this in my driveway without a jack and just a few wrenches and 13mm socket wrench since i couldn't find my 15mm and 18mm sockets. If you have the right tools im sure this could go even faster and easier. A few bolts were tough to get out but nothing impossible. My wife only helped hold up the hitch into place to get a few bolts in and once they were in place loosely i was able to do the rest by myself. This is my first hitch i have ever installed and im not really a DYI person but this seemed easy enough. Only cost a fraction of what the dealership was going to have us pay to have one installed.

by:

Ordering was a breeze and I've never seen an online or ship so fast. Installation was just as easy. I did it laying on the garage floor without lifting the vehicle. I also installed the Curt t - connector (part c56150). That took a little more time. With that I added a 4 pin flat/7 blade connector which I mounted to the underbody in front of the hitch. I'm very happy with my purchase and the install and will be a customer for life!

by:

Great hitch, well hidden beneath the rear bumper on my Grand Caravan. I will always buy hitches and accessories on etrailer, as they have extremely good customer service and are very professional. Installation was easy with etrailer's instructional videos and printed directions. Thanks!!

by:

I picked this Curt hitch over the Draw-Tite hitch because the Curt hitch weighs more which means that it is made with more steel and is a beefier hitch. This Curt hitch bolted up perfectly with all 5 frame bolt holes. I used my floor jack and made a simple wood lifting rig and strapped them together with large cable ties to balance the hitch on the floor jack lifting cup. See my pics. Very happy with this hitch and it installed very nicely! Thanks for the detailed video which really helps!

by:

This is what I installed Review the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" - 13364. Well I got it on. It took more than the 25 min. that was stated, I guess if you have a garage with a lift and all then that time limit would be possible. I did it in my garage with a floor jack, jack stands and a creeper. It took about 2 hours but it is done and it looks great. Everything that was stated in the video was correct except for the time. I did not need to trim the back valance as it just barely touched it.

Great price and prompt shipping! Exactly what I ordered and fit like it said. Only wish I got an etrailer sticker!

This has been a great product for the last year. We have mainly used it for bike rack and extra storage, but it has been awesome!! no problems here.

by:

Fits perfect! Followed etrailers youtube video for installation. Used the Curt hitch over the other brands because the receiver tube is longer for better clearance of ball hitch and accessories. See etrailer's hitch camparison video. I'm glad i did because the clearance between the ball and bumper is minimal. I bought an extended and elevated hitch to resolve this issue. Standard free shipping was exceptionally quick!

This isn't the first aftermarket hitch I've purchased and the first thing that struck me was its heft and rugged construction. I thought "...no way was this thing going to fail or degrade in my lifetime."
I read technical manuals daily and the simplicity and detail of the single-sheet instructions were without error. (a rarity these days).
Besides the obvious top quality of product, what I appreciated the most was the quick and courteous service:
1) purchased online; but verified with a phone call that order was received, in stock, and ETA of shipment - the 1st phone call and person who answered had all my questions answered competently (another rarity).
2) the phone operator was intelligent, was without a heavy accent - easy to communicate with.
3) shipment was tracked and status sent to me via email; follow-up email was sent to me inviting me to place a review.
4) This company is WONDERFUL to deal with; wish I needed more hitches!!

This is my second time using Etrailer.com for hitching/towing needs and thusly, this is my second hassle-free, perfect, great experience with them.
I was in a pinch and needed a Curt 13364 hitch for a trip to OK that came up quickly. Every other supplier I could find could not give me any kind of shipping time or schedule. I called Etrailer and spoke to Katie D. who took the time and was very courteous and professional with my request. She was able, on a Friday afternoon, to work with me for a proper solution to have the correct hitch shipped to me in DEEP southwest Texas in time for installation before leaving the following Thursday.
Katie D., once the product shipped, kept me updated via email with a tracking schedule that helped me to ensure I would receive it well in time and in good shape, and it did arrive just fine.
Regarding the installation on my 2014 Grand Caravan, pardon the pun but it was installed without a hitch. Taking about 20 minutes to install it went up perfectly with no drilling or cutting of the vehicle body. Utilizing existing bolts in the vehicle, all the holes lined up perfectly.
I cannot say enough good things about etrailer.com and Katie D., they were instrumental in providing what I needed in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them highly!!!!!

I am a sales Rep in the cycling and outdoor industry and carry bikes and trailers regularly. Bike carriers have increasingly moved from the roof to the hitch mount option over the years and so most of my rack sales need a hitch.

The hitch was surprisingly easy to install and i was able to do it within an hour or so without lifts. It was a little tight getting under the vehicle and turning tools was cumbersome. That said, still easy enough.

I have had no problem with access or clearance with the bumper and have been quite pleased with the hitch. My last trip we visited Big Bend State Park and the road to the HQ is 27 miles of dirt road with an INNO bike rack carrying a fat bike on the rack. I had several bikes on the hitch and never had an issue. I'm around 30k for the past year with something hanging off the back of the car, issue free! Thanks!

by:

Fit perfectly on my Town & Country mini-van. It is mounted up under the rear of the vehicle so it is not seen from the rear. Only visible part is the 2X2 receiver box. The instructions could have shown the two bolt sizes and locations. This would help in getting ready to install.

Trailer hitch arrived undamaged and went on in about I hour or less. Fits great and does not show much at all. It will mostly be used for bike rack so it's a little overkill for my needs ,but if I have to tow a trailer it will easily do the job.

Great quality receiver, fit perfect on 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. Video instructions for hitch and wiring install were much more useful than provided paper instructions.

by:

first id like to say thank you to the people of etrailer.com for shipping out my hitch in more than a timely manner. we got the curt 2" hitch for our 2016 dodge caravan. we are using it for a bike rack only and this seems to do the job just fine. I installed it by myself in about 30 minutes. the instructions were pretty simple and easy to follow. if you are looking to get a hitch for your mini van id definitely recommend using etrailer.com.

Product arrived as promised. I waited a few days to gather tools I needed (namely metric impact sockets) and warmer weather. Installed the hitch last evening. It took about an hour. Most of this time was jacking up, placing jack stands and removing THREE exhaust hanger bolts. I had to remove one about midway before the exhaust would lower enough for me to get to the chassis bolts on the passenger side. Your install video shows a hitch with three passenger side bolts but the actual hitch only has two. Apparently a later version which is exactly what I needed. Actual placement and bolting of hitch and bolting back the exhaust hangers only took about 15 minutes. I am extremely pleased with the neatness and appearance. You see nothing but the receiver box. No ugly cross bars like some hitches show. Thanks for a great product.
