Small Gap Between Socket on B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch and Truck Bed

Question:

Just installed a BandW gooseneck hitch model 1117in my 2017 f350. I drilled a 4”hole in the bed per manufacturers instructions. After installation the socket that extends up through the bed floor is smaller then the 4” hole which leaves a gap of about 3/16” just want to make sure that this is correct. My old truck had the same kind of hitch but no gap between bed and hitch socket. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

The 4 inch hole that you cut in your truck bed in order to install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1116 is correct. The slight gap that you have between the socket for the hitch ball and your bed is not an issue. As long as you have the bolts for the center plate tightened according to the torque specs listed in the instructions, the hitch isn't going to move at all after installation.

I have attached an installation video on your 2017 F-350 that you can also use for reference.
