Trailer 7-Way Wiring When Colors Dont Match

Question:

The wiring harness on my trailer has a red wire and no blue wire. Its all original wiring. Can you help me figure it out ? 7 plug trailer wiring Thanks

I'm happy to assist. The 7-way plug on your trailer will have the correct pin locations even if the colors don't match. It is not uncommon for different color wires to be used. I've attached a photo with the wiring location and function so you can match those versus the function. I've also attached a video and article to assist.

You can also use the circuit tester # PTW2993 to test power functions.
