How to Install the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 4-Way Flat to 7-Way RV Trailer Adapter # HM47180

Question:

So I need to convert my 4 pole to the 7 blade style setup the trailer has no trailer breaks or anything of that sort. It just has the lighting but it has a 7 blade style end what would I need to connect. I also do not have trailer breaks for my jeep because I do not need to tow anything that heavy.

If you are just needing to make the 4-Way on your 2004 Jeep Liberty compatible with the 7-Way on your trailer (without brakes) then the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 4-Way Flat to 7-Way RV Trailer Adapter # HM47180 is exactly what you need. To install this just simply connect it to your existing 4-Way and then ground the white wire. This gives you the basic lighting functions for your trailer.

Should you want to utilize a brake controller or the 12V Power on the 7-Way in the future then I recommend installing the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 instead. This comes with the same type of connector plus the wiring and hardware needed for the job.
