Can Brophy Extension # ST18 Be Used with Motorcycle Carrier

Question:

Can I use the18inch extension and put on a motorcycle carrier? The motorcycle weight 278lbs. I need room for my pontoon boats in the truck bed while I shuttle back up river.

I wouldn't recommend the use of a hitch extender with a motorcycle carrier under normal circumstances as that adds quite a bit of leverage and torque on the hitch it's installed in. This # ST18 cuts the hitch capacity of the vehicle it's installed in by 33-1/3% so you'd have to verify your hitch has the needed capacity.
