This SuperTruss hitch extender is specially designed to work with your SuperHitch trailer hitch (sold separately). Like most products from TorkLift, the primary purpose of this extender is to help create a towing setup that fits perfectly with your truck bed camper system. Not only will you be able to extend your trailer hitch receiver out far enough to clear the overhang of your camper, but you will also maintain a high enough weight capacity so that you can tow your trailer.
Most hitch extensions dramatically reduce the towing capacity of your hitch setup, making it difficult to tow a loaded trailer over a certain weight. The SuperTruss, though, creates such a sturdy connection with your SuperHitch trailer hitch that you can still maintain a high weight capacity. To get the highest capacity possible, use a standard weight distribution system with the TorkLift towing setup.
The SuperTruss uses both of the receivers on your TorkLift SuperHitch to ensure a sturdy, secure connection. The solid shank of the extension's top tube slides into your top receiver, and the extension's lower compression tube installs in your bottom receiver. Each tube is held in place with the hitch pins and clips that were included with your SuperHitch. The connection between the extension and your hitch is reinforced with 2 sturdy steel collars that bolt around the tubes of the SuperTruss.
To give you absolute peace of mind, lateral support chains connect to the hitch and the extension on either side of your setup. Just attach one end of each chain to the extension and secure the opposite end to your SuperHitch. Then tighten the chains with the integrated turnbuckles. These chains not only provide extra security to keep the extension in place in your hitch, but they also transfer some of the weight back from the extension to your frame-mounted hitch.
If the camper is mounted on the truck:
Measure from the face of the truck's rear bumper to the outside edge of the camper's bumper. This is the length of the extension that you need.
If the camper is not mounted on the truck:
1. Measure from the inside of the front of your truck bed to the outside face of the truck's rear bumper.
2. Measure the camper's overall floor length from the rubber bumpers at the front to the outside edge of the rear bumper.
3. Find the difference between these 2 figures by subtracting. The difference is the length of the extension that you need.

I can now tow a trailer with up to 600lbs. tongue weight behind my Ford truck with an 11' camper attached. It does everything they say it will do.
We have ordered twice over the last couple of weeks from etrailer and have had great service. The products have been top line products and easy to install. I have had orders from the same state where I live take longer to receive than the items from across the other side of US from etrailer. I have talked to several different people at etrailer and each was very professional and I received accurate information each time. If you need anything for a truck or trailer you should give etrailer a try it you will be very happy you did.
I would supply photos but all of the items I purchased was for under the truck to haul my trailer so no photos.

Excellent product i am very happy with it. Installed it myself and it took a few hours. Definitely remove the spare tire its much easier that way. And check for all mounting hardware as i was missing (5) 1/2 inch flat washers. That was an inconvenience but im still very happy with the prodct. Im using this product and the 42 inch supertruss to haul my 23 foot boat behind my lance camper. So far it all works flawlessly and i couldn't be happier with my purchase.
My second SuperTruss . We changed to a longer camper so needed a longer extension.
Tongue weight for our trailer exceeds 500lbs so the SuperTruss is the only hitch extension I would trust. Like all torklift products they are built for a lifetime.

We have been using Torklift superhitch and supertruss extension since 2010 hauling horses around the US. This extension and superhitch went on our new truck. We hauled trouble and worry free for 10,000 miles this year. Best product on the market.
I’m thinking this is the best for pulling a heavy load. Product went on great and they even ground a bit off the shackles to get it in the chain. Great product

Still enjoying the use of this super truss, pulled my boat to Upper Michigan and back from Georgia. Makes it easy to take my boat on trips when I need my truck camper.
