Will Curt Weight Distribution Shank # C17100 Fit Curt Weight Distribution
Updated 06/25/2020 | Published 05/02/2018 >
Question:
I have a Curt 17501 hitch. The shank that came with the hitch does not quite work for my needed ball height. This shank appears to be built slightly different than the one that came with the hitch. Can you confirm if it is in fact different? What are the hole locations relative to the horizontal part of the shank?

Expert Reply:
The Curt shank part # C17100 that you referenced might be slightly different from what came on your system, but it's the same in the areas that matter. The vertical portion of the shank and the mounting holes are the same size so the head of your system will easily fit on this shank and work well.
The holes are 1-1/4 inches apart and 3/4 inch in diameter.
