I have a gen-y torsion flex shank that i used with an old antique wd hitch that wore out. Is the shank a standard size for the curt or equalizer wd hitch? also trying to size a correct wd hitch for my set up. 2014 f150 fx4 crewcab towing a 2013 work and play 21vfb toy hauler. dry weight 6,000#, 945#s rated tongue weight. 1350#s approximate loaded equally from the middle of the trailer axles to the rear door. 268#s fresh water tank full 2- 30# lp tanks on tonguenot sure if included in factory rating 60# extra weight inside front tongue compartment on trailer truck- 65#s in bed against tailgate and 85# gen-y shank. Any Idea what the approximate rated wd I should purchase? ps currently have the andersonjunk wd hitch and having problems not being able to correctly distribute the weight to the front wheels of the truck.

Nearly all weight distribution shanks were made to the same dimensions. Shanks like the Curt part # C17100 fit nearly all brands of weight distribution heads. As long as the holes of your old shank are 3/4 inch in diameter and are spaced 1-1/4 inches apart the Curt shank you mentioned will fit.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
Most likely a weight distribution system with a range of up to 1,200 lbs would be what you'd need like the Reese Strait Line part # RP66084 which has a range of between 600 to 1,200 lbs and features the best sway control on the market that works to fight sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
