RV Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatibility with Slide Out Bumper on 2014 Keystone Cougar 5th Wheel

Question:

looked at your videos of part 13703 for rear of trailer. I have a 2014 cougar 30 ft 5th wheel, it has a slider mechanism for the rear bumper to extend for various uses. Have you had an application on this trailer? I could do away with the slider but would prefer to keep it. I can weld and fabricate but your kurt hitch is well worth purchasing it seems very sturdy.

The Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 is a very well made hitch. I haven't seen a hitch installed on a frame where there is a slider at the rear bumper, but that should not impact the strength or function of the trailer hitch when mounted to the frame chassis. This hitch should work well for your 2014 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel, you will just need to remember to remove your accessory from the hitch if it would make contact with the bumper slide out when parked.
