Question:

I was thinking more in the horse/torque area but the other suggestions are interesting as well. I was however surprised there was no mention of an air intake. I have heard from local guys in bar talk that those are some of the best "bang-for-your-buck" dollars you can spend to gain muscle. Is that true?

A cold air intake like you mentioned is a very good product that will increase horsepower, torque, and airflow. They are also easy to install and relatively cost effective which is what makes them so popular. However, a performance tuner like the Edge EvoHT2 Hand-Held Performance Tuner part # EP16040 will provide more benefits and power than a cold air intake which is why I recommend this over the intake if you were to only choose one. The best options would be to use both and in addition to the Edge EvoHT2, I recommend the Airaid CAD Cold Air Intake System with SynthaMax Dry Filter part # AR402-299 which can provide an increase in horsepower up to 17 HP.
