Question:

My 13 (gmc) 18 ( chev gmc) i would think still same My 13 had a 4 wire harness with a plug at each end. Plugged into truck taillight area where gm had a plug that matched. Wires ran along frame and came out front where i plugged into my motorhome. No battery disconnect. I will just buy magnetic portable lights if thats the case

It sounds like you need wiring to flat tow your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 and for that you need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247 as there is no straight plug-in harness available. Please keep in mind that you will also need to disconnect your Silverado's battery when towing and the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766 is highly recommended to make this process easier.

The 2013 Silverado 1500 is going to be different than the 2018 Silverado 1500; there isn't a wiring harness like you described and though you can use magnetic lights it is going to be necessary for you to disconnect your battery, which is something that started with the 2014 model year Silverado 1500 so I do strongly recommend the Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766. Magnetic lights are definitely an option and I recommend magnetic lights which use LEDs that only need to be plugged into your RV's connector with an adapter in order to be activated, the Magnetic Tow Lights - Red LEDs - 4-Way Flat Connectors - 20' Long Harness # PE26UR.
