Question:

I have a fwd drive 2017 Escape and I want to tow it on a dolly that does not pivot, but wheels on the car pivot. Will this hurt the electric power steering. I am looking at this because of the weight difference between the 2 dollies.

I did some checking and it looks like the front wheel drive 2017 Ford Escapes can be flat towed with a tow dolly. The Roadmaster dolly part # RM-2050-1 would work well for this.

The steering wheel of the vehicle needs to be locked otherwise the vehicle will pivot on the dolly and the fenders will hit the body of the vehicle.
