Tow Dolly for Front Wheel Drive Vehicle with Electric Power Steering

Question:

I have a 2019 Acura RDX front wheel drive SUV that has electric power steering. Should I purchase a tow dolly that has a pivot or fixed position? Not sure if the vehicle has a steering wheel lock or not.....it does not have a key. Thanks.

The tow dolly you choose won't need to have any special arrangement for your electric power steering on your 2019 Acura RDX. The vehicle's front wheels will be secured with wheel straps so they won't move as you travel and the Demco # DM9713045 is a great option.

I did look up your owners manual at it states that your vehicle is not designed to be towed behind a motorhome so doing so will be at your own risk. Towing with front wheels off the ground is an acceptable way of towing your vehicle in an emergency so we know it won't damage your vehicle to tow in that way and they don't give a maximum distance which is normally stated if there would be an issue.
