Question:
Hi, I have an old 1980s Moody boat trailer that holds my 19foot sea ray bowrider. Id like to replace either the entire hub assembly x4 or the bearings. Can you point me in the right direction? I have specs. hub size is 5 on 5.5 bearings inner and outer are the same lm48548 Seal is National 203015-x spindle measures 5.5inch where the hub buts up on the axle, the inner most part. the rest of the axle where the bearings are located are 4.5. I appreciate any help you can provide.

We do have your bearing, part # LM48548, and the mating race # LM48510. Seal part 203015 is for an oil bath hub, not a hub that uses wheel bearing grease. This item is readily available in auto parts shops but we do not offer it. Specs for this seal indicate an outer diameter of 2.562-inches and an inside diameter of 1.750-inches. We have no seal that matches both dimensions.
All 5-on-5-1/2 bolt pattern hubs we offer use the same set of bearings, inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649. These will not be compatible with your spindles.
You may want to consider replacing the entire axle so that you have all new components and an easier time in the future finding replacement parts. Our main page for axles is linked too and this shows you both standard beam axle kits like the 3500-lb # e43SR with brakes and # 35545I-EZ-89 with idler hubs. We even have the unique Timbren axle-less suspension kits like # A35RS545E which includes hubs and brakes and which lets you do away with your whole leaf spring suspension and the maintenance it requires.
