Question:
Love the cam lock system which would be perfect for my arthritis hands. Unfortunately the hose is too long for my needs....5-6 ft extended and maybe 3 ft compressed would be perfect very little storage in my van conversion rv. Can this hose be cut off and reattached to the system couplers ?

A sewer hose that is too long is an annoyance. One that is too short makes for a mess! It is possible to trim the hose down, remove the parts inside of the end that you cut, then use some solvent, # A05-0303, to "glue" the now shorter hose inside of the one end.
Or you could cut a section out from the middle of the hose and use a coupler such as # F02-2025BK with the solvent above to secure both ends into the coupler.
If you always need the same length hose then this is a viable option. But if there may be a situation where you need the length then you won't have it after trimming the hose down so keep that in mind.
