Question:

I have a 2026 Winnebago Ekko 23-B class B van. It was built on a 2025 Sprinter 3500 AWD dually chassis. The regular Van suspension guys like Owl and Agile offroad. Do not have any options for AWD models only 4WD models. Any idea if the Hellwig HE54FR will fit my AWD model? I do have an aftermarket Owl Van 4.3 suspension kit installed with adjustable shocks and a large leaf spring pack. The ride is great but the severe sway in wind and in traffic is last part of the puzzle for me to figure out. Thanks

Thanks for the information Rob. The Hellwig item # HE77YR is the correct one for your AWD 2025 Sprinter 3500 dually chassis. I just spoke with Hellwig to confirm that this is the one you need. Their item # HE54FR you mentioned won't fit the dually models.

The Hellwig item # HE77YR is designed to replace the factory sway bar and will reuse the factory end links. This is a 1-1/2" diameter anti-sway bar that's really going to help you with that top heavy swaying feeling.

Please note that the Hellwig item # HE77YR is designed to work with the factory suspension. Hellwig could not confirm it is compatible with your Owl Van 4.3 suspension kit. I linked the installation instructions below so you can compare them to your setup and make sure nothing is going to be in the way.

Are you getting the severe sway just driving down the highway or are you driving through mountain type areas with heavy wind? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

Thanks for the reply. My sway problems are while driving on pavement. And are of wind & traffic origin. I don’t go off road all that much so I don’t need to have individual traction on the rear wheels that would compete with the purpose of the sway bar. I’ll take a look at the links you provided and make sure nothing is in the way like you said. I’ll also plan on reusing the factory end links. Thanks for the guidance

@RobW You're welcome. That makes complete sense with the high tops of those vans. Just trying to get as much information as possible so thanks for providing that follow up info. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
