Replacement Struts for a Thule Adventurer 650 Cargo Box

I have been offered two of these Yakima struts and am hoping to use them as a temporary replacements on my Thule Adventurer 650 until I get the actual Thule replacement part TH14936. Any idea if this will work? Thanks for your time :

The Yakima struts, part # 8880684 are not able to work in place of the Thule struts, as they are too big, and the Thule boxes do not have a metal insert to catch the strut.
Instead, your box can have its struts replaced with part # TH14933, which is the smaller variant of the Thule struts.
