Question:
I would like to put one of these lights at the top of my utility trailer for rear marker and stop light functions only. Will the lights circuit and wiring allow me to do this? Thanks.

The Optronics LED Thinline Stop/Tail/Turn/Back-Up Light # STL264RB is a high-efficiency LED-type multi-function trailer light that you can install for the specific functions you want.
The light has 4 pigtail lead wires: white is ground; red is brake light; black is tail light; and yellow is turn signal light.
Since you need only the brake and running light functions in your application you will use the white ground wire, of course, and the red and black wires. You will also need Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # 118158 to separate out the combined stop/turn signals in your standard trailer wiring. This converter will separate out the stop light signal from the turn light signal so that you have only brake and tail light signals. The red output wire from the converter will connect to the red wire on the light. The (usually brown) trailer tail light wire will bypass this converter and connect directly to the black wire on the light.
