Installing Rubber Sleeve Bushings from Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit

Question:
I purchased a rebuild kit for my Kodiak 225 calipers. What is the appropriate way to install the rubber sleeve bushing in caliper? Should I use any type of grease?

I spoke with my contact at Kodiak regarding the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit # KDBC225KIT that you recently purchased. Before installing the rubber sleeve bushings, he recommends placing them in some warm water in order to soften the rubber. You can then rub some Palmolive soap over them to get them really slick, which should in turn make installation much easier. The old bushings can simply be pounded out.
He does not recommend using any type of grease, as it can eat up the bushings over time.
