Front Hitch for 2008 Ford F-250 To Use a Load Extender

Question:

Want to install carrier or Yakima Long Arm on the front of my truck. What front hitch do you recommend for my 2008, 4 WD F-250? Please provide installation instructions. Thank you.

For your 2008 Ford F-250, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 65049. I've included a video of our installation team putting this hitch onto a 2008 Ford F-250 so you can get familiar with the installation process. I've also added a link to our installation guide to help your install go as smoothly as possible.

If you choose to install the Yakima LongArm, part # Y01149, remember that when using it in the front hitch you'll need to have the height adapter, part # Y01150 as well to make sure it runs in line with your roof.

Depending on your specific load, you may want a roof rack added to your vehicle. Let me know if you need to add one and the specific cab type you have and I'll be happy to recommend one.
