It depends on how you're installing it! I installed two versions of the Yakima Overhaul HD on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma with a 5' bed. The OverHaul HD is always my favorite recommendation since it's a super solid ladder rack that looks and works perfectly on the Tacoma.

The Yakima LongArm, part # Y01149 has a lot of range to it, and can be adjusted to several different positions right out of the box. For use as a roof rack extender, you can add the Extension Kit, part # Y01150 to make the bar much longer, and add further height options to it.

Unfortunately, while we do not have an extender to make any of our roof load extenders longer, we do have a rack that has the length you need without any additional length needed. For your 2008 Ford F-250, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 65049. Rhino Rack roof rack crossbars and feet can be purchased so as to easily come up with a single crossbar roof rack but unfortunately the vehicle specific fit kits are sold in quantities of 4 clamps, so you'll end up with two extras.
