Your 2015 Acura MDX uses a Class III trailer hitch reciver so it is best that you have a Class III transmission cooler. I suggest the Derale Series 8000 Cooler # D13503. This cooler is designed specifically for the MDXs with the electronic overdrive transmissions. The best location for mounting transmission coolers is in front of the radiator so it will get as much air flow as possible. Keep in mind this will prolong the life of your transmission, especialy while towing, however it doesn't increase your towing capabilities. Check your owner's manual for your Acura's towing capacities.
I've attached a help article on transmission coolers you might find useful. Also there is a video of the Series 8000 being installed onto a 2016 Honda Pilot. Obviously, since the vehicle is different this won't be exactly the same but concept for transmission coolers is fairly universal. So it might be helpful to you.
