7-Way Mounting Bracket For 2003 Chevy Avalanche and How to Pick Out Weight Distribution

My son worked on it and got it connected ... said that he moved the blades on the truck till it connected... now plugs in Every time! I do not have a bracket for it on the hitch ... is there a bracket available to mount the plug onto the truck ? Also a weight distribution hitch what do I need to get one? Thank you for your time

That we normally see all 7-way blade connectors are the same size and will connect to each other. The pins are blades though and not round pins correct? Do you have any pictures?

For a mounting bracket you could use the part # HM48625 which will attach to the bumper on your Avalanche. The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use. Once you know your tongue weight you will want to check out the link I attached that has all of the weight distribution systems we carry. You will be able to select your tongue weight from the filters to see what would be rated for your setup.
