The Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater part # KH11813 for your 2008 Toyota Tacoma is going to install on the left hand side of the engine (drivers) closest to the firewall. The location for the plug will be near the drivers exhaust manifold.
I have attached an installation video of this heater installed on a 2016 Toyota Tacoma for you as well. Although the year of your Tacoma's is different, they both have the same 4.0 V6 engine. Therefore, the location of the plug will be the same on both years.
