do you have hitch extender will work on for travel trailer gross weight 8000 lbs think 8 inch will work need leave tailgate down too haul atv truck has 5.5 foot bed

The shortest hitch extender that we have which is compatible with a 2-1/2 inch receiver on your tow vehicle is the Hitch Box Extension and Reducer # RP45292. It has an adjustable length of 24" - 34", reduces the receiver to a 2" x 2" opening, and is rated for 8,000 lbs when used with a Weight Distribution system.

Your only other option would be the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender # HR26 which is rated for 10,000 lbs with a Weight Distribution system, but it is only 7 inches long.
