I understand I have to use the existing wiring but does the motor have electrical tabs where I can use a bayonet connection?

The Lippert Components Kwikee Motor and Screws for New IMGL Step # LC379147 does not come with wiring. It only comes with the 3 mounting screws pictured. The wiring of the current assembly will attach to this motor instead of vice versa.

The motor does have the electrical connection for the wiring. I've attached a photo to assist with the location.

It does sound like a motor and gear box issue, and so long as your steps are from 2006 or newer (there should be a sticker verifying the year on the motor) then we have exactly what you need with a new motor and and gear box/linkage for your 1101422…
