Question:

Need a replacement motor. Numbers on old motor,1101422,Assy step A curved, 214-1001 motor, motor test date 4/10/2015. The motor in the picture looks right, but wanted to make sure because the number dont match. Took it apart and the plastic gear is worn out.

How long do these steps last? Do the gears ‘go out’ typically? It’s dated 2015. The step just stopped working returning from a short trip. Fuse is good

@Dan It varies. There's no timeframe where you can expect them to fail. We see ones from the late 90s that are just now needing replacement parts sometime. Do you know what series step you have or have any part numbers so we can get you up and running again?
