Question:
I have a ultra light Trailex trailer that I use for carrying my canoe. I need to replace the entire hub assembly . The hub would be approximately 6 inch measurement by me . It has a small 4.80 x 8 inch C load range tire on a 4 bolt wheel. Can you assist me. Not sure how to proceed and secure the correct part. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I have attached a link to our selection of 8 inch trailer hub assemblies that use the common 4 on 4 inch bolt patterns for you to filter through. To choose the correct one you will simply need to remove the current hub on your trailer and check the numbers on your inner and outer bearings. If you cannot find the numbers on your bearings then you can use a digital caliper to measure the B, C, and D sections of your spindle as indicated in the attached photo.
The assemblies that are listed break down into 2 different bearings. For example; part # AKIHUB-440-2-1K uses the bearing # L44643 for both the inner and outer bearings, while part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K uses the bearing # L44649 for the inner and outer bearings. You will want to note the size of grease that you need as well. Part # AKIHUB-440-2-1K comes with a grease seal that has an inner diameter of 1.249 inches while part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K has a grease seal with an inner diameter of 1.50 inches.
If you need part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K but need the smaller grease seal inner diameter of 1.249 inches then you can get the grease seal part # 34823 as a replacement.
If you find that you have different bearings or grease seals than what I mentioned, let me know what you have and I can make some recommendations for you.
