Question:
Id like to fit these to a 2000 Explorer Eddie Bauer 5.0 AWD with factory 255/70-16. I cant find anyrhing in the manual about clearance requirements but can measure my wheel/body/suspension clearances. How much sidewall and tread face clearance do these require and how much does the smaller, non-HD s-class variant require? The titan web-site doesnt list clearances or letter codes for their light truck chains other than width of link material.

The link thickness for tire chains # TC2524 is what you would want to look at. Basically the chains will be sticking out from the tire sidewall by approximately 1/4 inch which is a little more than the link thickness. But I suggest planning on measuring out 1/2 inch just to be on the safe side. The only thing it says in the manual is to use cables such as # PW1046 which stick out about 1/2 inch (the cables are 0.425 inches in diameter). Either way, I would additionally use the # PW105 rubber tensoners
