How is this setup rated at 8000lb when the quick link is only rated at 2000lb?

The Roadmaster Safety Cable Extensions # RM-910648-12 do include Quick Link connectors. The connectors alone are part # RM-910022 and these are rated for 6000-lbs. Other Quick Links like Curt # C82931 are rated lower, in this case 2640-lbs.
